Triton Graphite Sculpture

Tritons are predatory marine gastropods of the genus Charonia. This common name is taken from the Greek god Triton, who was the son of Poseidon, god of the Sea. Adult tritons are active predators and feed on other mollusks and starfish.Tritons can be observed to turn and give chase when the scent of prey is detected. Some sea stars appear to be able to sense the mollusk and will attempt flight before any physical contact. Tritons, however, are faster than sea stars and only larger starfish have a reasonable hope of escape, and then only by abandoning whichever limb the snail seizes first. This wonderful graphite sculpture is a work of art as well as a playful writing instrument. Made from composites and pure graphite this sculpture can be used to write or draw on multiple mediums or collected and displayed as an art piece. Measures 3" by 2"
